Our mission is to provide a positive and safe environment that inspires students to become responsible, well-rounded, civic-minded, global thinkers who are equipped with 21st century skills and are prepared for the academic rigors of high school and future challenges.
The remainder of the year will consist of content/material including:
-The symptoms, treatments, and consequences of common sexually transmitted diseases and infections
-The origin, risks, and prevention of HIV/AIDS
-The importance of abstinence and how abstinence can limit the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases and infections
Classes will be graded on participation, will complete two in-class projects, and will be administered two written quizzes as forms of assessments.
Marking Period #4
The 4th marking period begins on April 17th. Students should always have a folder and a writing implement for health classes. For the first several class periods, we will be quickly reviewing important content, concepts, and objectives from seventh grade health, which will also pertain to class activities/discussions throughout this marking period. A short written assessment will be administered toward the end of the second week.
